CupboardCast
Introducing The Metal Detector Club
Friday, April 23rd, 2010 | CupboardCast, Full Episode, Podcast Episode | Comments Off
CupboardCast is over. Gone. Dead. Buried.
And rising from the ashes is: The Metal Detector Club.
Thom, Graeme & Chris have joined forces to create a new comedy group. In addition to a website with plenty of random opinion articles, musings and videos, they will also be performing a live comedy show at the 2010 Camden Fringe as well as releasing an EP with songs & skits.
To celebrate the launch of The Metal Detector Club, the club have recorded one final podcast to go out on the CupboardCast feed. In it, they explain how CupboardCast ended, how you can get your hands on CupboardCast Series One and what to expect from The Metal Detector Club…

This is the final ever update to CupboardCast. May it now rest in peace for years to come… Thanks!

Very surprisingly, despite CupboardCast finishing around 8 months ago and it being a year now since the historic first show, we’re still pulling in a semi respectable number of downloads! (Particularly the very first episode!)
In order to ensure CupboardCast can be enjoyed by those who wish to listen for many years to come, Series One has now been submitted a number of commercial music sites, to be streamed and downloaded as an ‘audio show’. In addition to all the episodes (including the crap ones and the mini-casts), each series also contains a special and exclusive introduction and review recorded during the Summer by Thom and Graeme, offering a retrospective look back at the show.
It’ll take around four weeks before the first series appears on music services and should be quite affordable, making it the perfect Christmas gift!
If it proves successful, we’ll then look into trying to edit the Christmas Specials and Series Two so we can legally release them too, but at the moment they just contain so much copyrighted stuff! The Christmas Specials and Series Two will remain on the Podcast Feed and this site, so you can enjoy them for free whilst they last. The Series One episodes will no longer be available this way however.
CupboardCast – Series One will soon be available to listen and download from a number of digital retailers, including: iTunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3, Napster, 7digital, Zune, emusic, Nokia Music Store and many more…
It’s all over!

Sorry for the 3 and a half month delay, but CupboardCast has finished.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get chance to record any more episodes after we stopped posting them so no more will be made available. This site and the podcast feed will remain online as an archive of the podcast and hopefully something for people to discover and enjoy in the future.
We hoped you enjoyed it all!
Thom & all the CupboardCasters…
