Series One commercial release coming shortly!

Very surprisingly, despite CupboardCast finishing around 8 months ago and it being a year now since the historic first show, we’re still pulling in a semi respectable number of downloads! (Particularly the very first episode!)
In order to ensure CupboardCast can be enjoyed by those who wish to listen for many years to come, Series One has now been submitted a number of commercial music sites, to be streamed and downloaded as an ‘audio show’. In addition to all the episodes (including the crap ones and the mini-casts), each series also contains a special and exclusive introduction and review recorded during the Summer by Thom and Graeme, offering a retrospective look back at the show.
It’ll take around four weeks before the first series appears on music services and should be quite affordable, making it the perfect Christmas gift!
If it proves successful, we’ll then look into trying to edit the Christmas Specials and Series Two so we can legally release them too, but at the moment they just contain so much copyrighted stuff! The Christmas Specials and Series Two will remain on the Podcast Feed and this site, so you can enjoy them for free whilst they last. The Series One episodes will no longer be available this way however.
CupboardCast – Series One will soon be available to listen and download from a number of digital retailers, including: iTunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3, Napster, 7digital, Zune, emusic, Nokia Music Store and many more…
It’s all over!

Sorry for the 3 and a half month delay, but CupboardCast has finished.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get chance to record any more episodes after we stopped posting them so no more will be made available. This site and the podcast feed will remain online as an archive of the podcast and hopefully something for people to discover and enjoy in the future.
We hoped you enjoyed it all!

Factory Dreams – Part 2
Saturday, January 17th, 2009 | Blog Post, Podcast News | 120 Comments
Due to a severe production error, instead of the second part of the gripping soap ‘Factory Dreams’ being played when introduced, the first part was played again accidently. We understand that this error renders the story of parts 3 and 4 somewhat unusable and we are extremely sorry for any inconvinience caused.
CupboardCast 2.02 will be re-uploaded tomorrow (17th) with Part 2 of ‘Factory Dreams’ in it’s rightful place.
If you want to download just the missing scene then it is attached to this post.
Once again, please accept our apologies.
Update: The corrected episode is being uploaded now. If you’re podcast deliverer has already downloaded yesterday’s episode, you’ll need to download the episode manually via the link in the post below…

CupboardCast 2.0 – Welcome to the future…
Monday, January 5th, 2009 | Blog Post, CupboardCast, Podcast News | 121 Comments
Whilst we had planned to bring you the future of CupboardCast with the start of our second series today, we just felt we weren’t prepared enough yet. We hadn’t planned what we’d do for a show today nor did we find enough time to.
In need of a podcasting fix? We suggest you download Graeme’s Screencast, which we put online a few days ago, and gave it a listen. We hope to do much more stuff like this from now on so not only does it serve as a halarious introduction to the future, but with the Review of the Year coming out the next day it didn’t really get time to shine as our ‘latest podcast’…
We’ll be back on Friday (9th) with our all-singing all-dancing “Welcome to the Cupboard” episode featuring all sorts of wild shit…
Be there, or be in care!

The Magic Behind the Adventure…
Wednesday, December 17th, 2008 | Blog Post, CupboardCast, Podcast News | 104 Comments
Having now earnt its place in history, lets appriciate the sheer challenge that was making the god damn thing.
Firstly, we had to write it. The idea was initially a simple one, that Bob Hoskins would show them what Christmas was all about etc… and we could tie in a few other funny things of ours into it. (Gladiators, Morrissey, Wally and Grom Grom etc…) Chapter 1 of the story definatly reflects this. It’s more artistic, funny and satirrical. But as we came to the end of writing the first half, we definatly felt the story was lacking anything gripping. There was no tension or drama as such (the closest scene was the one with Marie and O’Connor) and there was only very basic direction to it all. So we included a nice little cliffhanger, something to lead onto much bigger things.
Chapter 2 of it all was always going to be very Doctor Who-ish, it just had to be. The pacing was to be a lot quicker but it would stop for breath every so often so we could add some character in. The story, overall, went from being a surreal jaunt around Christmas to being this acpocolyptic expedition through time battling Morrissey, Hand Puppets and much more. It’s good that we seperated it into two parts or it just wouldn’t have worked otherwise.
